On December 3, 2020, Chang'e-5 probe, one of Chinese lunar exploration projects, completed the lunar surface sampling and had a Chinese national flag erected by the lander-ascender combination. This ‘fabric version’ flag is made from Tayho’s high performance fiber material-aramid. It can withstand temperature variations of 300 degrees on the lunar surface, cosmic rays, dust, etc., and can resist harsh environment of the lunar surface without color fading or deformation.
